I bought my 1850 cottage 2 years ago - with an 'E' energy efficiency rating. Since then I've improved it with

• Internal, cavity wall, and external insulation
• Solar panels
• Electric vehicle charger
• Infra-red ceiling panels for heating.

The first step was insulation, externally on the solid walls on the front North-East side, plus loft and floor and rear extension cavity wall. This followed a survey by Green Home Energy Services who recommended contractors Instagroup.
