19th Century former school in conservation area with 'invisible' solar slates also reduced energy by better controls and draughtproofing. When re-roofing was needed, we took the opportunity to improve insulation and add solar panels. As various changes have been made to heating and controls, insulation and solar PV, we have evidence of reductions in energy use.
