Our detached house was built in various stages between late 1960s and 2010 on the side of a hill so there are rooms at various levels.
The 2010 part is insulated to the then building regulations. We put in a solar water heater facing roughly south east for the main part of the house in 2010.
In 2015 we installed PV panels on a south west facing roof which generate over 4000Kwh a year. In 2022 we installed PV panels on the southeast facing roof which generate about 2000Kwh a year and a battery.
We have cavity wall insulation in the older part of the house.
