Work in Progress:

We had solar panels installed on the eastern and southern roofs with associated inverter etc to  deliver electricity to the EV charger in the drive and on out to the grid.

The next step would be an air source heat pump to make use of the electricity not otherwise used.
 
The EV is generally connected to the charger from mid afternoon until mid morning. 
 
A drive by along Alan Cobham Road gives a good view of the panels.
