1970's detached house, Monkton Park

 Our home is a 1970's 4 bed in Monkton Park. We have a heat pump - Daikin 8kW, installed by Octopus in 2024. We also have solar panels (on the FiT), a storage battery (5kWh) and an electric car charger (Zappi). The house already had cavity wall and loft insulation.
We also use home assistant to control all the low carbon tech (via an app) and forecast solar generation and our energy use. This otpimises our battery and saves us money using a specifc Octopus Energy tarriff (Agile).
