Jeremy and Sylvia's home was already remodelled when they moved in six years ago, but they were keen to make further improvements including replacing the oil boiler with an Air Source Heat Pump and adding PV panels to the roof. They are now relieved to have low energy costs and to be no longer reliant on fossil fuels.

Their modern brick built home features;

  • High performance windows
  • Under floor heating
  • High levels of insulation
  • Mechanical ventilation with heat recovery
  • Air Source Heat Pump
  • PV panels on the roof
  • Battery storage
  • LED lightbulbs
  • Rainwater harvesting

They also have an electric vehicle charged from their solar panels.
